Help find a cure
The Twin Cities walk/run, in conjunction with many other Making Tracks for Celiac events around the U.S., raise money for the University of Maryland Baltimore's Center for Celiac Research. In 2011, they found the pathogenic difference between gluten sensitivity and celiac disease, the Center also threw its support behind the FDA's proposal of 20 ppms for a gluten free labeling standard.
This year, a $5.00 donation per person gets you entry into our great Gluten Free Food Expo Our cap is $20 per family. You can feel free to donate that amount or you also can donate more. Or another great option is to ask your friends and neighbors to donate to the event. Every $5 donation you bring in gets one person in your family into the Expo for free! If you raise $30, bring six people!
Up to 25% of the money raised will be used for local celiac awareness projects and the walk/run expenses. Raise awareness – Get the word out about celiac disease. The more people know about it, the fewer undiagnosed cases there will be.
